According to a university study, Beckham strikes a dominant chord with everyone between the age of five and 60. Research shows that Beckham's winning ways have helped transform men's attitudes to sex, love, marriage, babies and even homosexuality. The study singles out the Manchester United player's love of fashion and shopping as one way in which he is re-defining masculinity. "He is managing to single-handedly change male behaviour globally and for the better," explains Warwick University sociology professor Dr Andrew Parker. "He has helped break masculine codes by defying various manly expectations such as what clothes men are allowed to wear."
