Having allegedly gone back on his word to sign for Portsmouth Ben Thatcher was keen to talk up his new club and even mentions the 'M' word:

"I have been shown round the training facilities here at Carrington and they are really terrific. I am really looking forward to it now. Manchester City are a massive club and there was no saying no."

Whilst new keeper Geert De Vlieger is far more reticent and only uses the 'B' word

"We have been talking over and over, but today we have found a good result," de Vlieger told Sky. "We know it (The Premiership) well and I am excited to come over. It is a big club, they wanted me and I wanted it and it is a good result."
