"I need to start scoring goals. I haven't scored one yet and
even though I am playing in midfield, I don't want to lose
the instinct. At the moment, we use Ruud van Nistelrooy and
Diego Forlan as main strikers, with myself Ryan Giggs and
Paul Scholes as the next options. It is important that I
keep contributing to the team and that means I have to start
improving on my goalscoring record."
Ole also had praise for Ruud Van Nistelrooy after he was
voted the best striker in Europe:
"It's about time Ruud won an award like that because he has
been fantastic in the two years he has been with the club.
It is not only his goalscoring ratio. He works so hard for
the team. It is something everyone notices. I know I have
scored a lot of goals for United but I don't think I will
ever say I could do the same as he has."
Ole feels as if we now have a stronger squad than we did
last season:
"It is hard to say whether we have a stronger squad but I
would hope so. It is certainly a bigger squad with more
options to play different systems.
"The manager has brought in new players and they all seem to
have fitted in pretty well. Sometimes it can be difficult
moving to a different club but it is up to the rest of the
squad to put your arm on their shoulder and say `you are
part of our team now'."
