OLE OUT WIDE

Ferguson has said that he will use Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as a striker only in an emergency as he believes United will benefit more from him out wide on the right.

"I still consider Ole a front player but not necessarily a centre forward now,"

"I think we will get really good value by playing him wide right. There were signs of that a couple of years back before he got his injury."

"He is intelligent and understands the position," Ferguson added.

"He has fantastic movement. Sometimes players who understand they can score goals from a wide position are valuable. Ole understands how to score goals."

And on his first goal of the season the manager continued.

"We were all delighted for Ole. It has been a long road for him," Fergie added.

"There have been a lot of doubters and understandably because when you have been out of the game for two years at his age it can't be an easy road back.

"But he has had incredible belief in himself. He has had great determination to be where he is today.

"If he remains that way, and there is every indication he will be OK now, then he will continue to be a regular goalscorer. That's what he is."
