'I am still recovering from the small operation I had and hopefully I'll join back in with the rest of the squad early next week.
'With a bit of luck, I will make the American tour but I'm not sure just yet.' '
And as far as the Premiership is concerned O'Shea thinks United will be back up there battling for the title this season.
'What makes me confident is that we got good results and performed well against teams like Arsenal but let it slip against the so-called weaker teams,' he said.
'We also let ourselves down in home games against sides in the middle of the
table.
'If you look at our games against Arsenal last season, I don't think anyone could say there is that much between the teams.
'We should have beaten them at home but missed a penalty in injury-time, the
league match at Highbury was fairly even and then we beat them in the semi at
Villa Park, so although the gap was quite big at the end of the season, there is
very little in it.'
