Owen was substituted in the second half last night, and the
injury he sustained may keep him out of Saturday’s game.
Speaking on the Liverpool website he said:
OWEN'S DEAD BACK
“I got a knee in my back in the first half and it stiffened
up,
up,
“I probably should have come off at halftime to be honest
but I carried on. I then fell on my back in the second half
and couldn't continue.
but I carried on. I then fell on my back in the second half
and couldn't continue.
“It remains to be seen whether I'm fit to play on Saturday.
It normally takes a couple of days to recover from a dead
leg but this is a dead back. I've never had a dead back
before.”
