PARANOIA STRIKES AT HIGHBURY

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Vieira seems to have
joined the Arsene Wenger School of ridiculous conspiracy
theories:

“If it had been a player at another club, I don't think this
would have happened. It is ridiculous because this is where
television is having more of an influence. It is no surprise
to me that they have charged him, but the club and everyone
will be with him. For me, this has happened because he is an
Arsenal player.

“I have been where Sol is now and I know how he is feeling.
As a squad of players, we're already close. Now, if it is
possible, we will be even closer.”

The delightful Ashley Cole joins in:

“We can't believe what is going on. No-one saw what Djemba-
Djemba did to Sol. He'll come back strong from this though.
He'll be better than ever.”

The FA have denied any anti-Arsenal bias. A spokesman told
the BBC:

“We refute any accusations of prejudice against any club.
Disciplinary rules, regulations and practices are in place
across the board and must be adhered to. Any suggestion
otherwise is completely untrue.”
