He's had a knee operation in the United States under the highly-regarded Dr Richard Steadman and it appears that he will need to wait until August before reassessment.
United spokesman:
"Ji-sung Park has had a complicated cartilage operation that required an expert in his field.
"He will be out for the remainder of the season and we will assess the situation again in August."
