PARKER – I'LL DO IT FOR LONDON

Quoted in The Sun, Charlton midfielder Scott Parker, has
said he wants to help Arsenal win the title – even though he
is a Tottenham fan:

"Tottenham were my boyhood team but I wouldn't mind too much
if I did Arsenal a bit of a favour and squeezed things a bit
more at the top of the table by hitting the target. Charlton
have a big, big say in where the title finally goes. If we
get something up there it sets up a massive finale on the
last day of the season for Arsenal and United.

"Some will look at our fixtures and say that because we are
safe with nothing to play for we will simply go through the
motions. They are wrong. We are just as desperate to win as
United are - and I'd love to score."

Striker and Arsenal fan Jason Euell joins in:

"United are in formidable form and seemingly on their way to
another title but it would be wrong to underestimate us. We
proved at Highbury last season we are capable of beating any
team and as an Arsenal fan, I'd obviously prefer to see the
title stay in London."
