Paul Pogba travels to Dubai for ongoing injury rehab

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba will continue his recovery from a thigh injury in Dubai, having travelled to the Gulf state for warm weather training.

Pogba suffered his thigh problem while on international duty with France earlier this month, experiencing discomfort in a training session and withdrawing from the squad. He is not expected to fully recover before the end of the calendar year but will work on his rehab in sunny climes.

A United statement on Wednesday afternoon confirmed that Pogba has made the trip to Dubai and will continue his recovery in the warm weather conditions.

The player himself had earlier shared images of himself on social media in his new training base, alongside the caption, ‘Recovery mode ON’.

As things stand, Pogba is on course to be out of contract at the end of the season, allowing him the option of leaving Old Trafford as a free agent – talks with overseas clubs can begin in January.

90min recently revealed that the 28-year-old is yet to make a decision on his future beyond the end of the season. Agent Mino Raiola is keeping potential suitors informed of the situation but interested clubs remain unaware of Pogba’s desire at this stage.

He is keen to assess all of his options before coming to a final decision, which still includes the possibility of signing a new contract with United as discussions have been ongoing.

Raiola’s ideal scenario is a multi-club bidding war, although the intention is for that to uncover the ‘right’ offer for the player at this stage of his career, rather than simply choosing the biggest offer.

Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are all expected to put forward proposal to the Pogba camp in January once he enters the final six months of his current United deal.
