PEACE AND HARMONY

David Beckham yesterday issued a statement about the cut he received from a flying football boot on Saturday afternoon. And contrary to any tabloid reports he says there isn't a problem in the OT dressing room.

DB said: "I want to assure all Manchester United fans that there is complete harmony and focus as we prepare for the Juventus game.

"The dressing room incident was just one of those things - it's all in the past now,"

A spokesman for SFX, Beckham's management company, confirmed Ferguson's review of events and added that United's club doctor visited the star at home following the incident.

"David did not want stitches at first, but two hours after the game, blood was still dripping from the wound and the club doctor visited David's house and fixed two steri-strips to stop the bleeding," the spokesman confirmed.

Earlier in the day SAF had denied the fact that Beckham had had two stitches above his left eye.

Surely that will be the end of the story now or at least until DB's autobiography is published.
