Terry is the first English winner of the PFA trophy since Teddy Sheringham in 2001 and the first defender since Paul McGrath in 1993.
Wayne Rooney won the PFA’s young player of the year award. "As a footballer you are always looking to improve and learn from the people around you," said Rooney. "If I keep learning and keep my feet on the ground, then hopefully I can start winning more trophies."
