Forlan on his goal

"When I put the ball down on the spot I was a little bit nervous but then when I
went back I tried to be calm and make sure I scored," said Diego after his
89th-minute breakthrough.

"It felt a little bit different because scoring a penalty is not the same as scoring
from open play but I was still happy. It was a relief.

"It wasn't bothering me this year. Last season maybe I was a little bit bothered
by it because I wanted to score before the season ended. But this term I have
tried not to think about it.

"I just thought to myself that it would eventually come.

"The fans since I came have been waiting for me to score and the way they
have supported me has been incredible. All I can say to them is thanks.

"I will continue to do my best and try and score more now.

He'd just like to thank...

"The players have also been very good to me and the manager has always
supported me. It has been a big help."
