PHIL GETS BORED AT THE BACK

Phil Neville:

"I didn't realise how much I enjoy playing in midfield until
I had to go back to full-back, I didn't play there much last
season but every time I did I found it boring.

"There is not so much activity there, I like being involved
and in the centre you are in the action a lot more. Things
tend to go through you and it is a lot more enjoyable.

"But I am also aware that if Paul Scholes, Roy Keane and
Juan Sebastian Veron are all fit, then they play. I would
not be surprised if I was back at full-back for Manchester
United next season. That's the way it goes sometimes. Full-
back is my stock position and I've played there all my life
for United until recently.

"I can see me playing there in the future but at this moment
in time I am relishing the time in the centre more than
playing at full-back and it has given me a new lease of
life."
