Don't they realise it was their biggest game for years. Wonder what it's like against Dumfermline and Livingston?

From The M.E.N.

"When you have to defend a goal there is pressure on defenders, and we coped really well with it.

"But we want to prove that we are a better side than we showed on Wednesday. You can expect a better display at Old Trafford.

"We are now favourites, with Stuttgart, to go through, but we have to beat Rangers at home, and we are confident because we normally win at home.

"Maybe we have been scoring less, but that is no problem because we are still near the top of the league.

"We are normally struggling a little bit at this early part of the season, but we have been doing better this time.

"The defence has been working well in training, but the best thing to improve is to play together every three days or so.

"There always seems to be a different partnership in the middle. Last season it was with Wes Brown, now it's with Rio Ferdinand, and it's going well."
