United will play the Hong Kong national side on July 23 as part of their Far East tour.

United are due to confirm a match in China as part of their trip, and are also expected to visit Japan as part of Sir Alex Ferguson's build-up to the 2005-6 campaign.

'Our Hong Kong fans are some of the most dedicated in the whole world,' said United commercial director Andy Anson.

'It is tremendous that we are able to repay their loyalty by playing for them in Hong Kong.You can be sure that we will bring our full squad of players to Hong Kong, subject to injury.'
