PROTEST, WHAT PROTEST?

Last night's protest was unsuccessful according to the Sun

A mass protest against the Glazer family by angry Manchester United fans was a flop.

In fact it was all smiles at Old Trafford last night as supporters queued for their AUTOGRAPHS!

Joel, Avi and Bryan Glazer, sons of United’s new owner Malcolm, defied threats and watched the Red Devils’ 3-0 win from the directors’ box.

And a planned boycott of the match fell flat as more than 50,000 fans turned up.

Inside the stadium, supporters answered boss Alex Ferguson’s call to get behind the players.

No chants were aimed at the Glazers and even defender Rio Ferdinand escaped the abuse heaped on him in pre-season before he signed a new four-year deal.

Around 700 supporters paraded outside the stadium before kick-off with anti-Glazer banners.

But only 150 remained outside when the match started and police did not make any arrests.

Surely there's no need to even comment on that.
