Fergie first:
"In the first half we were superb. We then had some good chances to make it 3-0 and we lost a goal and were scrambling for home, which is disappointing on our part. It's a funny game football, a goal changes the game," said Ferguson.
"I think the first goal was a nice one-two with good play from Ruud and Quinton Fortune but that second goal was superb.
"We've won our game and we've just got to sit back and wait for the results. I think we'll be better than that.
"(But) we got careless and nearly had our backsides kicked.
"For the first hour, everything we did was superb but then we got slack and tried to put too much icing on the cake.
"We ended up scrambling over the line when we shouldn't have done. Blackburn pushed us all the way and we only have ourselves to blame."
On a more positive note:
"Kleberson has been doing really well in training and this game was an ideal opportunity for him.
"It was an excellent performance and he showed what a wonderful footballer he is."

"On another day, at another ground, or even at the other end it would probably have been allowed to stand.
"I know how the game works. I have been at big clubs and have benefited from situations like that.
"Nothing will change. All you can do is go home and scream - at least it makes you feel a bit better.
"We are looking to get to the 40-point mark to avoid relegation.
"That was our priority at the start of the season and it remains in place.
"I am encouraged by the second half today but Manchester United are hard enough to play against when it is 0-0, let alone when you are two goals behind."
"Dwight was not offside, Garry Flitcroft was but I've seen goals given like that.
"When things are not happening for you, you don't get these kind of decisions. On another day you get that decision going for you. But you can't feel sorry for yourself, you've just got to get on with it."

"At half-time we said we wanted to do what we did in the first half but it didn't work out.

"A few of the players played on Wednesday so it was a hard game for us today, that's why three points are great. Now we have a few days to rest."
