Wreck of the car bomb
The Spanish giants won through thanks to a 1-1 draw tonight with Barcelona tonight, in a tense Bernabeu stadium.

Tense because it was a huge match against their fiercest rivals. Tense also because of two car bombs which exploded no more than three hundred yards away from the stadium three hours before kick off.

UEFA decided to allow the match to take place, deciding that keeping order of 75,000 fans if the match was cancelled would be too difficult.

A goal late in the first half from Gonzalez Raul sealed passage for Real, a scrappy own goal moments into the second half was not enough to get Barcelona into the final
