REAL RESPECT FOR THE FANS

Ronaldo:

"Last night was like a tribute to me at Old Trafford. The
Bernabeu fans have been booing and jeering but now I have to
hold on to the memory of Manchester while ignoring the
whistles when I play in Madrid.

"I'll try and change the Spanish reaction to me bit by bit
to become more like the one I had in England."

Figo:

“The English supporters are an example which every set of
fans around the world should try and copy. They stayed with
their team right to the very last seconds despite how the
game had gone and despite the aggregate result. They were
noisy and loyal and created a phenomenal atmosphere.

"No one who loves football could have left that stadium
disappointed, no matter which team they supported. We saw a
great match and with goals. That is really what people want
to see. But it proves the respect of these fans that they
applauded Real Madrid, too."
