REAL WOULD BE A BIG TEST

Again speaking on the League Managers website Fergie said:

"I think, at the end of the day, you always look at Real
Madrid, because of their history, and they've got big-game
players.

"Eight times winners, players like Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo,
Raul, Roberto Carlos - I think that would be a great test
for us."

United do have an advantage if they get to the final of
playing at home:

"I think we'll try and make it an advantage obviously. I
think it's important that if you get there you want to use
that advantage of playing on your own ground, and hopefully
we'll be there!"

Sir Alex is also glad about the Champions League reverting
back to it’s previous format of only one group stage:

"Well, there's too much football anyway so you have to think
that a reduction's going to help the quality, and I think
you'll probably see a better quality next year."

Looking forward to the next couple of months he said:

"It's very difficult we have try to and marry the two
together. Winning the Premier League is important, and so is
the Champions League.

"In this period that we're in now for instance, March and
April's always vital in terms of Champions League form and
league form, and hopefully we can manage the two."
