David Beckham, Wes Brown, Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville have been called up by for England's friendly against Australia.

Manager Sven Goran Eriksson has revealed that he plans to field an under-26 side in the second-half of Wednesday night's game at Upton Park.

Brown will join other young stars from the top-flight such as Newcastle's Jermaine Jenas, Fulham's Sean Davis, Everton teenager Wayne Rooney and the Premiership's man-of-the-moment in Southampton striker James Beattie.

England squad: James (West Ham), Robinson (Leeds), Wright (Everton); G Neville (Man Utd), A Cole (Arsenal), Mills (Leeds), Konchesky (Charlton), Ferdinand (Man Utd), Campbell (Arsenal), King (Tottenham), Brown (Man Utd), Upson (Birmingham); Beckham (Man Utd), Scholes (Man Utd), Lampard (Chelsea), Hargreaves (Bayern Munich), Dyer (Newcastle), Jenas (Newcastle), Davis (Fulham), Parker (Charlton), Murphy (Liverpool), J Cole (West Ham); Owen (Liverpool), Rooney (Everton), Beattie (Southampton), Vassell (Aston Villa), Jeffers (Arsenal).

Sven Goran Eriksson also claims everyone will play for a maximum of 45 minutes.
