From the official site:

'United overcame a Rooney-inspired Macclesfield Town in the Pontin's League, thanks to three superb long-range strikes.

Even the visitors' solitary reply, from Wayne Rooney's cousin Tommy Rooney, was a blockbusting effort from 30 yards. The Reds moved into the lead on 20 minutes through Markus Neumayr's 25-yard free-kick, which hurtled into the top corner of the Macc goal.

Six minutes later, Danish striker Mads Timm doubled the hosts' lead with a looping shot from outside the box. Rooney halved the arrears ten minutes before half-time as his brilliant strike beat United keeper Tim Howard.

The game was put out to bed on 73 minutes, however, when David Bellion restored the Reds' two-goal cushion, cutting in from the left wing to fire home from 20 yards.

The result ensures United remain atop the Pontin's Holiday League.'
