RICARDO NOT HAPPY WITH FERGIE

"I came here as a Spanish international goalkeeper. I wanted to excel and what hurts the most is that Ferguson (below) never gave me a chance.

"I came to United full of dreams and, without any explanation, it was all snatched away.

"If I had been given, say, 10 games and been poor, I'd keep my mouth shut. But that never happened.

"Yes, if you sign for one of the biggest clubs in the world the money is great.

"But I would have accepted half the money for a fair chance of a starting place.

"Ferguson was so unfair to me. I never played. I had shown I was a keeper of the highest level with Atletico Madrid, Valladolid, Racing Santander and with Spain.

"I have nothing against Roy Carroll and Tim Howard but I wonder how many caps they would get with the Spanish team?

"They dropped one clanger after another and cost the club trophies.

"Yet they were both given chance after chance by Ferguson, while I wasn't.

"Ferguson refused to give me a go, even if it meant the team was stuck with two goalkeepers who were not up to it.

"Neither of them played well and Ferguson did NOT have a keeper he could trust.

"A coach should make full use of all his resources but that didn't happen in my case.

"There are times I regret ever joining United."

"I went to Racing on loan, played every game and was close to getting back into the Spanish national side.

"I came back hoping my moment would come but it never did — despite the many errors Carroll and Howard made.

"Ferguson has won a lot but he's a stubborn man and his decision making is not flawless.

"We all make mistakes and he has certainly made a few.

"He sold striker Diego Forlan, who was never given a proper run in the side — pretty much like me.

"And Diego has just won Europe's Golden Boot playing for a small Spanish side like Villareal.

"I will never understand Ferguson and what he did. It's ridiculous.

"I have had several offers from teams in Spain but I still want to stay in England just to prove Ferguson wrong."
