Kieran Richardson hopes to prove that being left-footed can gain him a plane ticket to Germany this summer.

"It is a dream to go to the World Cup. To get into the 23 man squad would be unbelievable when you consider where I was 18 months ago.”

"At United we have nine games left and I hope to be involved in all of them,”

“Obviously, you have to be playing regularly and show why you deserve to go to the World Cup and I want to do that over the last two months.

"Trying to get in Sven's squad is in the back of my mind. The most important thing for me at the moment is to get back into the team.

“Against Newcastle I was out with a hamstring injury and the team are playing so well at the moment. The main thing for me is to show good form over the last two months of the season and hopefully get into the World Cup squad.”
