RIDSDALE OFFERED POSITION ON UNITED BOARD

A highly placed Red Issue source inside the club has revealed, to his absolute astonishment, that ex-Leeds United chairman Peter Ridsdale is to be offered a position on the Plc board. Apparently his resignation from Leeds had nothing to do with supporter pressure, United have been after him for several months.

Our source has indicated that while the Plc do admit that he made some mistakes during his time at Elland Road, they feel that with the correct guidance he will be a valuable asset to the club. Apparently his experience of dealing with top European clubs in the transfer market may lead to him overseeing all incoming and outgoing transfers once he has settled into his job.

Both Ridsdale and United are prepared for the inevitable supporter backlash, but feel that this opportunity was too good to turn down for both sides.
More to come as we find out.
