Manchester City will play in the qualifying round of next season's UEFA Cup after England finished top of the UEFA Fair Play rankings last season, European soccer's governing body said on Monday.

Sweden, Finland, France, Denmark, Russia, Poland, Switzerland, Norway and Ireland will take part in a draw on June 6 when two clubs will be chosen to complete the qualifying competition.

City finished ninth in the premier league and were fifth in their domestic Fair Play competition behind champions Manchester United, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
