RIO OUT OF ENGLAND MATCH

Norwegian team doctor Thor Einar Andersen has confirmed that
Solskjaer will be fit to play for Norway on Saturday:

“Ole Gunnar has rested, he trained today (Wednesday) and he
will be fit for the battle on Saturday.”

Rio won’t play for England on Saturday though, he is still
suffering from a kidney complaint. However he may be fit to
face Liechtenstein on Wednesday.

Football Association head of media Adrian Bevington said:

"Rio Ferdinand has been ruled out of the Macedonia game.

"He will be reassessed this weekend with a view to
potentially being available for the match against
Liechtenstein next Wednesday."

Rio is upset at having to miss the game, and told all to the
Super Soar Away Sun:

“I’m fed up at having to drop out. England games mean a lot
to me and to miss out again is disappointing. I haven’t
played in United’s last two games and haven’t been able to
train properly but I still wanted to join up with England. I
feel better but the medical advice from United and England
doctors was not to travel.

“All I can do is wish the lads the best and hope I will be
OK for the game against Liechtenstein at Old Trafford next
Wednesday.”
