ROBBO & BRUCE STILL BELIEVE

"They've done it before, and they can do it again," Robson said. "That's why I still think United have got a chance. It was unfortunate they missed a couple of good opportunities at Old Trafford, but they're still in because they've got big-game players. I can see Ryan Giggs and Roy Keane playing major roles. Giggsy has turned on the style so many times and we all know the influence Keano can have."

Steve Bruce agrees:

"Usually when United are up against it, they're at their best," Bruce said. "I definitely wouldn't write them off. They've come back so often in the past, and they can again."

Bruce believes that the 93-94 team to be the best he played in and Robson blames UEFA's foreigner rule for hampering his own European ambitions:

"That team should have gone further in the European Cup, but we were set back by the rule that limited the number of foreigners."

Bruce agrees: "It was a great shame we couldn't show what we were capable of because we had to leave out important players. That 93-94 team was certainly the best team I played in. Robbo was coming towards the end of his career at United but make no mistake, he was a fantastic player. In any England team, you'd pick Bryan Robson."
