RONALDO IS IN NO RUSH

Ronaldo's agent has said that there is no pressure on United to sort out a new improved contract. He then pointed out what a good egg young Cristiano is.

'He still has three years to go on his contract so we will see what happens,' his agent, Luis Correia, business partner of Ronaldo's other/real agent Jorge Mendes, told PA International.

'He will travel to Portugal with his team later this month so maybe a deal will be sorted out then.'

'It is not right that people should be concentrating about his contract negotiations at United, they should be more aware of the charity work that he is doing,' he said.

'He has travelled to meet the people affected in Aceh and raised more than 100,000 euros (£66,000) to help reconstruction.

'He has opened up new centres, given away signed shirts and done what he can to help.'

'Of course, he is a top player and will attract interest from other clubs, but he is just concentrating on his football at the moment,' he added.

Carlos Queiroz yesterday said that United had not been contacted by Real over the availability of Ronaldo:

"Real Madrid have not contacted Manchester about Cristiano Ronaldo,"
