Rooney Doubtful For Finale

The England striker has missed the last two games with a hip injury and is unlikely to be risked in the final match of the season at The JJB Stadium on Sunday.

"He may be on the bench," manager Alex Ferguson has said.

"He'll certainly be fit for the Champions League Final."

However, Ferguson does expect to have centre back Nemanja Vidic available on Sunday.

"I'm hopeful of having Vida," he added.

"The next two training sessions are going to be very important for him"

"We'll have had eight days to prepare by the time the game comes round on Sunday which is a bonus.

"The training sessions have been quite light and all the little niggles have cleared up. The mood is very good in the camp."
