The United striker scored the only goal of the game inside the first minute at Old Trafford on Wednesday night but limped out of the action just moments later with a hamstring strain.
"It's a hamstring injury," manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed.
"You can't do anything about them so he'll probably be out for at least three weeks."
