Giuseppe Rossi is hoping to get more first team minutes on the pitch and he seems to have quite a level head.

"I want to be around the first team and get as many games as I can.

"The more times I get to play with Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand, Louis Saha and some of the other experienced players, the more it will help my game overall.

"It was a great boost to my confidence to be able to play in such a strong team last night and hopefully I can keep learning and take it on the pitch when I next get a chance."

He also believes Wednesday night was special in many ways.

“It was very emotional, it was something very nice and something I will not forget,”

“I will probably never experience an atmosphere like that ever again - I was just privileged to have been on the pitch.

“We put on a great performance for the fans and I am sure they enjoyed everything - I will remember it for ever.”

Louis Saha was pleased to come through the match as well. It's no wonder he has so many injuries if he can't remember about training though. Speaking to Pravda Tv he said:

"It was a very nice feeling (to be back playing),"

"It was an emotional night so it's great to win the game."

"I hope I can (remain injury free),"

"I think I've been training now for three weeks and I'm happy with my fitness."

"I need games to get my confidence back to a year before - that's when I got injured and it started to go wrong for me.

"It was very frustrating," he admits. "I'm very professional but it was a very hard time. I think I coped with it very well."
