"I am sure the Treble win of 1999 could be emulated.
"They are in good form - but they need luck, though.
"Over the last two or three years, United have lacked that bit of good fortune, in terms of decisions and injuries to key players.
"However, they do seem to be getting the rub of the green this season.
"It'll be hard, but I think an English team has a good chance this year.
"United have a good draw, and at least they have avoided Liverpool and Chelsea.
"David Gill United chief executive said he was glad to avoid the other English teams and I think that he was right.
"But to be honest, at this stage of the season, United are going to need that bit of luck if they are going to win all the competitions they are in."
