RUNNING SCARED

Phil Neville puts his metamorphosis from full back to midfielder down to team
captain Roy Keane. He said:

"I've learnt more from playing next to Roy Keane than I've probably learnt from playing with anyone else in my career.

"He demands the ultimate from you and he has been a pleasure to work alongside. He's helped me a great deal, the advice he gives me before and after games is something I will always take on board.

"Our partnership has been good so far and I just hope it continues. Not just me but the whole team, even the kitman, are aware they will get a rollicking from Roy if they slip up.

"He demands the best from every player and every part of the club and that's why he is one of the best midfielders and I can only but learn from playing alongside him.

"It's best not to have a word back. That's the best way. He is the captain and you try and aspire to his level of performance and if he has got something to say then you just listen.

"Most of the things he says are right. If you give a sloppy pass away, he will come down on you and that's because you don't normally see him do that himself.

"It would be different if he didn't live up to his words but he always does. He never lets the teams down and wants the rest of the players to do the same."
