RUUD ADMITS REAL POSSIBILITY

Ruud van Nistelrooy has said he will finish his career at Manchester United if he signs a new contract at Old Trafford - though he has refused to rule out a move to Real Madrid.

The 27-year-old Dutch international is negotiating an extension to his current deal but admits "in football everything is possible" following speculation linking him with a move to the Spanish giants.

"We are in negotiations, but at the moment I have not signed anything," he told Dutch television channel RTL5.

And while van Nistelrooy appears happy to remain at the Premiership champions, he is aware of the interest from Spain

"Of course I have heard it. What do you want me to say? You know that in football everything is possible.

"What is certain is that if I sign a new contract with Manchester, this will mean I will finish my career there.”
