"It's difficult for Ruud, but it's down to him and down to the hard work he shows in training to prove he can come back again.
"Of course I have spoken to him about the situation and it's difficult for him. As for the World Cup, he spoke with Marco van Basten, the Holland manager, and they had a good conversation.
"There's no problem as far as the World Cup goes, but of course Ruud hopes to get back into the United side before the end of the season."
