‘Ruud van Nistelrooy could be out for three months after returning home to Holland for urgent treatment on his Achilles injury. The Manchester United striker has suffered a further setback in his battle to make a full recovery and is expected to undergo treatment for up to a month in Eindhoven.

‘Van Nistelrooy was initially ruled out for eight weeks and was expected to recover in time for the first leg of United's Champions League tie against AC Milan at Old Trafford on February 23. But the 28-year-old is unlikely to be back until late March.’
