When asked for his opinion of his striking opponent Larsson said:
'I can sum him up in one word: he's great, he can score from many positions and it's very hard for defenders to follow him.'
When asked for comparisons between himself and Ruud Larsson added.
'No, I don't see any similarities,' Larsson said. 'Van Nistelrooy is far too good.'
