SAHA DEAL AGREED IN PRINCIPLE

United statement:

'Manchester United can confirm that they have reached
agreement in principle with Fulham Football Club for the
transfer of registration of Louis Saha, but this is subject
to a number of conditions.

'Manchester United expects these conditions to be resolved
within the next week and will make a further announcement on
completion.'

Saha is happy that the move has gone through:

"I want to play in the Champions League and I want to start
building up a collection of medals. United was always the
choice for me. I have been waiting for this move for more
than a month. I knew this was my last chance to sign for
United, by June United could have signed another striker.

"In all the big clubs there is competition, I accept that. I
just want to play as many matches as possible and I am
looking forward to that. I will be the happiest man in
England by the end of tomorrow.

"I am so happy. This is my dream come true. I thought this
move would never happen but I am so pleased it has. Old
Trafford is a lucky ground for me. It's where I started in
the Premiership and scored two goals. Fulham was a fantastic
place for me but I cannot wait for the challenge of proving
myself at the biggest club in the world."
