SAHA HOPES FOR WORLD CUP PLACE

Louis Saha is pleased with his progress this season and he hopes it'll gain him a place in the French World Cup squad.

"For the French team, I was really in a difficult position," he told Le Parisien.

"Now I am back on a run with United. That is a miracle.

"We are in second position in the Premiership, I have won a League Cup and I am scoring goals. Everything is fine."

Saha insists his World Cup place is not guaranteed, but he believes he can add something to a squad which boasts talents such as Thierry Henry and David Trezeguet.

"To have been called up for the last friendly against Slovakia was a mark of trust," Saha added.

"That doesn't mean I will go to the World Cup. But I have the state of mind for challenges and I have developed new abilities in my style."
