SAHA KNOWS FERGIE EXPECTS A LOT

From The Scotsman:

"He had a go at me for trying to rush one of my chances," Saha said, before admitting that Sir Alex was in the right, of course. "I have to take my time more often, and then I will be more efficient in front of goal. I can still be a bit wasteful, but I’m getting better.

"I was aware that there was pressure on me, but I shut it all out. The best way to trip up in those situations is to let the pressure get to you. I feel like I’m playing well at the moment, and I took that confidence out with me on to the pitch. The ovation just put the seal on it.

"Everything went well, and I felt like I settled quickly with my team-mates: they are a great bunch of guys. Everyone is very serious when it comes to training, and they like their hard work, just like me. That suits me down to the ground. I’m just doing my best to keep progressing because I know I’m not yet at the maximum of my potential.

"With Euro 2004 just round the corner, I can’t help but think of the France team," Saha said. "I’ve got to play regularly at United and show I’m good enough, otherwise I have no chance at all of playing for France. Obviously being picked for Les Bleus would be a dream come true. All players dream of breaking through into the international side, and of course it’s been a personal objective for me, but the competition is extremely tough. You have to show your value over time, and not just through a good start to the season. You have to really deserve a place in the French team."
