SAINT SOL DOES IT AGAIN

Campbell was sent off again yesterday, Wenger managed to accept that it wasn’t part of a dedicated plot to get him by Sky, the FA, Fergie and the CIA but couldn’t stop himself talking about United:

"Sol has to isolate what happened to him from all the rest, because this was an incident that could happen to any player. I couldn't see from the bench whether he touched the ball or the player, but I asked him at half-time. He told me that unfortunately he did touch him.

"It was not malicious but I can accept the fact that he was sent off. It was just a foul and he was the last man, those are the rules of the game. When he told me after the incident against United last season that he didn't do anything wrong, I believed him because he is the kind of guy to admit when he has done something and apologise.

"That's why I have always defended him. I am more concerned about what happened before this though. Did that have an influence on this moment? I don't know. But I don't think his mind wasn't right. I don't think he believes that the world is against him."
