Everton are singing the blues after the theft of their first historic plaque.

The Goodison club is now considering offering a reward for information leading to the culprits who stole the True Blue heritage plaque from the Sandon pub in Anfield.
It was unveiled three weeks ago as part of this season's celebrations at the club achieving 100 years in top flight football.

The Sandon was Everton's original headquarters in 1884 - and yards from arch rivals Liverpool's Anfield ground.

Club spokesman Ian Ross said: "The plaque was reported missing by two Everton fans who went there to take a photo.

"We want the plaque back, it's part of the club's heritage and we are prepared to offer a reward to whoever can lead us to the thief!"
