Scotland manager Alex McLeish:
"I spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson last night and he's given the green light to Darren to join us. He's fit to play. He's trained the whole week at United and he's available to us for Wednesday.
"We have guys limping in there - guys who are crucial to us - and that's the difference between France, Italy, Brazil and England and a small nation like ours.
"We are hopeful of Darren, but we might have to call other guys in."
