United's academy sides were both involved in local derbies at the weekend as the 17's beat Liverpool 1-0 and the 19's lost to Blackburn 2-1.

Frazer Campbell got the only goal of the game to extend the U-17's unbeaten run to twelve games. Campbell struck just after half time at Carrington on Saturday to hand United the win.

Brian McClair's Under-19's were away to Blackburn but, despite grabbing an 18th-minute goal through Callum Flanagan, went down 2-1 to Rovers.
