SEBA FLOPS BACK TO ITALY

From The Sun:

'CHELSEA are ready to offload flop Juan Veron in a cut-price move to Inter Milan.

Blues will let their Argentine midfielder go for just HALF the £16million they paid Manchester United to sign him last summer.'

With three years to run on his £90,000-a-week contract Abramovich may have to give Veron a pay-off of £2 million for him to leave.

Veron has started only five games in the Premiership this season and spent five months out with a back injury.

He infuriated team-mates by begging boss Claudio Ranieri NOT to make him play in the Champions League semi-final in Monaco. Now senior figures at Chelsea are openly questioning the player’s commitment.

Inter’s interest was aroused when a tentative enquiry for Frank Lampard was knocked back — but Veron was mentioned as an alternative.
