SEBA'S SICK OF TRAVELLING

Juan Sebastian Veron might have been eavesdropping on Keano and Alex Ferguson's conversation about international football. Before Argentina's match against Holland he has hinted he may not be able to play in every international match

"I am no longer 22-years-old, which is the age when you want to take everything on, and making a thousand journeys doesn't bother you," Seba said.

"We are no longer playing in the street, when you can play 20 games a day and do the same the next day.

"I've got to look after myself now."

You would think he was 37 not 27 years old.

Veron could be set to play a deeper role against the Dutch instead of the playmaker role he has done for Argentina in the past.

"If Marcelo asks me, I will do it without doubt," said the midfielder.

"I was never a typical playmaker, like Aimar or Riquelme, who always get to goal.

"I was different, but Marcelo thought I could do it and so it proved, but now I will drop back if he asks me to."

Ruud van Nistelrooy will only play 45 minutes of the friendly thanks to Alex Ferguson. Holland's manager Dick Advocaat has received a request from United asking not to tire the Dutchman out.

"Van Nistelrooy will not play more than 45 minutes due to a request from Alex Ferguson," said Advocaat.

"It was the only request I had from a manager," added Advocaat.

"Arsene Wenger didn't ask about van Bronckhorst but I completely understand Ferguson.

"It would be unfair to play van Nistelrooy for a game that would finish late on Wednesday when they have match relatively early on Saturday."
