Elsewhere the Star reports a blinding Davids-Veron swap deal with Juventus:
Negotiations are underway for a January deal which will see Davids move to Old Trafford, along with a significant transfer fee, for Argentina international Veron.
Only earlier this week, Italian press reports mentioned the deal along with United's interest in Juve striker David Trezeguet.
Juve have been trying to offload Davids since the end of last season. The Holland international saw a move to AS Roma collapse at the last minute in August, while along with United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the former Ajax star in recent months.
