SELL SELL SELL

From his column in the Evening News:

Sell Roy Keane, off-load those players who are not going to make it to the top at Old Trafford and buy big this summer.

That is what Sir Alex Ferguson must do as the Manchester United boss prepares for a shake-up.

We are told he must sell before he can buy, so the broom has to come out and nobody should be spared as he sweeps his squad clean of those surplus to requirements.

Why captain Keane?

We all know Roy has been a brilliant player for United, but he can't go on forever. You have to ask how many games he will play next season, and what his contribution will be?

I think his appearances will be limited and if he is not playing on a regular basis, then you have to get what you can for him. He will still be worth something on the transfer market and unless there is a job on the backroom staff waiting for him, then I would listen to offers.

He is not the only one I would get rid of.

Some of the signings Fergie has made over the last couple of years have not lived up to expectations. By that I mean players like Kleberson, Liam Miller, David Bellion, Louis Saha and Tim Howard. Selling them would boost funds, reduce the wages bill and give Fergie the cash to bring in a big name midfielder a goalkeeper, and anyone else on his wanted list.

While some of those players have starred with other clubs, they have not made it on the big stage.
